Photos For Front Cover.

This is my blog for the preliminary task. The task requires a photo, which should be a medium close up. The subject in the photo should be seen from the mis-chest up. The photo will be used for a magazine cover for Lewes Sussex Downs College.

This is the first picture i took, i don't think it's very good picture to use as the lighting isn't very good and the subject is hard to see.

I think i got the right proportion, as i was asked to take a picture mid-chest. It could be a bit closer but i could crop the picture later, if i chose to use it.

I will be using my picture as a background for the magazine, so by the distance in this picture, i would have enough room for text to go around picture without obstructing the picture of the person.

I won't be using this one for my front cover of my magazine, as it is too dark and i want my magazine to be bright and colourful.

I like this one the best as the background is clear so text will stand out. The lighting is perfect. Subject is looking straight at the camera and its a mid-chest shot, which was ask for in the brief. I think I will use this one for my front cover of the college magazine.

This is my third image I've taken, I'm not going to use it as the subject isn't looking at the camera. The lighting is fine even though there is a slight shadow.
